IS THIS PROCEDURE SUITABLE FOR ME? - FACE SURGERY
Most candidates who opt for this procedure are men and women over forty who have developed sagging or loosening of the skin below the chin or jaw. Some people can develop what is sometimes known as a “turkey neck" or "turkey wattle."
However, it is not just advancing age that can be a factor in a sagging neck, there may be hereditary reasons. Alternatively, the harsh effects of the weather (sun and wind), or excessive weight loss, may also be a contributory factor.
To be an ideal candidate for this procedure you should be in general good health and have realistic expectations about the outcome. of neck lift surgery, and what it can do for your appearance.
WILL IT LEAVE A SCAR? - FACE SURGERY
The location of any scarring will depend on the type of neck lift surgery you have. Normally incisions can be made behind the ear lobe, along the hairline, and in some cases under the chin.
A consultation with your surgeon will determine the location of the incision.
