WHAT IS LABIA REDUCTION? - INTIMATE
Labia reduction (or ‘Labiaplasty’) is a procedure whereby enlarged or prominent labia minora (inner genital lips) are surgically reduced.
The labia come in many shapes and sizes but when they are enlarged, irregular or protruding they can cause problems as well as being embarrassing for some women.
This condition can be congenital or can develop over time due to pregnancy or vaginal childbirth.
IS THIS PROCEDURE SUITABLE FOR ME? - INTIMATE
Enlarged labia minora can cause pain and discomfort for some women. This can become apparent during activities such as exercise and sexual intercourse. In some cases wearing tighter fitting clothes can be uncomfortable.
For some women this condition can cause psychological stress, embarrassment, and lack of sexual confidence.
Your suitability for the procedure will be determined by a surgeon’s consultation which will take into account factors such as your medical history and condition.
The consultation with the surgeon will enable you to come to an informed decision as to whether this procedure is appropriate for you.
WILL THE PROCEDURE INTERFERE WITH SEXUAL ENJOYMENT GOING FORWARD? - INTIMATE
This procedure will not interfere with sexual enjoyment or orgasm and for some women will provide them with more sexual confidence, thus enabling them to better enjoy intimate relationships.

Incisions are carefully placed to avoid painful scarring and dissolvable stitches are used.

You should follow the surgeon’s instructions with regard to post op care.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME? HOW LONG BEFORE I AM ACTIVE AGAIN? - INTIMATE
The initial recovery time may vary but usually it takes about a week after which you should be able to return to work. Sexual intercourse should be delayed for a minimum of six weeks.
