WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ENDOSCOPIC AND A NON-ENDOSCOPIC FOREHEAD LIFT? - FACE SURGERY

Forehead lifts are usually achieved by making incisions at the scalp or beneath the hairline. There are different techniques which can be used and the options available range from a coronal, subcutaneous, or an endoscopic lift.
The coronal lift is performed by making an incision across the top of your head and through this incision the surgeon can alter the muscles that cause forehead wrinkles and scowling. With an endoscopic forehead lift a surgical telescope is used to raise the brow. With this technique, forehead wrinkles are smoothed out by small incisions which are made beneath the hairline as opposed to a long incision across the forehead.
With an endoscopic lift your surgeon will be able to achieve many of the benefits which can be accomplished by a coronal lift, but he will not be directly altering the muscles which can cause horizontal wrinkles.
