Meditours Hungary is now offering patients access to insurance for cosmetic surgery carried out abroad.
For those travelling to a foreign country for cosmetic surgery, an important consideration is the cover available in the unlikely event should corrective surgery be required. Unfortunately as in any surgical procedure complications may occur, albeit rarely, even when carried out by the most qualified of surgeons.
Furthermore, most cosmetic surgery procedures are considered elective so are not covered under many standard medical insurance policies. In addition to this, a patient’s current medical insurance may not cover procedures performed abroad.
Fortunately, Meditours Hungary provides access to surgeons who are members of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and are covered by ISAPS surgical insurance. Patients can therefore elect to be covered by this insurance which means that if corrective or remedial surgery is required, they can have it performed by another ISAPS surgeon anywhere in the world including their home country.
