Traveling By Rail
More than 50 trains a day provide direct links between Budapest and 25 other capital cities. Trains to Vienna run every three hours. There is also a popular network of Inter City trains linking Budapest with the main Hungarian centres.
Traveling By Coach
Coach travel is also a popular means of travel to Budapest for visitors from other parts of Hungary and Europe. There are three main bus stations, with all International services terminating and departing from Népliget Coach Station, which is also a terminus for a number of domestic routes.Telephone (+36-1) 382-0888.
Traveling By Car

From early April to the beginning of November, hydrofoils run twice daily along the Danube between Vienna and Budapest. Operated by MAHART KfT, the hydrofoils depart at 9am and 1pm (during high season) with the journey downriver taking roughly five hours.
