How Does SmartLipo - Liposculpture work ?
SmartLipo uses a very small canula – about the size of an injection needle – is used to deliver a safe, powerful laser beam that breaks down fat cells., The small laser seals blood vessels as it zaps the fat, so there is less swelling, bleeding, and bruising than with traditional liposuction. The heat from the laser has a skin tightening effect and stimulates growth of new collagen whilst contracting old collagen fibres. Another plus is that there are no incisions, stitches, or scars. And, because it’s minimally invasive, your recovery is that much faster.
How effective is SmartLipo Liposculpture?
SmartLipo is perfect for eliminating the common 'problem areas'...tummy, knees, under-arms, buttocks, back, chin, and so on. Most patients can see results immediately following Smart Liposuction, and they can expect their skin to return to normal within three months. The overall results will depend on the severity of the areas that were treated.
How many treatments are needed?
That depends on the area to be treated. Our surgeons will advise you during your initial consultation. The maximum amount of fatty tissue will be removed on each trip and treatment to Hungary. If more extensive amounts of fatty tissue are to be removed, SmartLipo may be combined with traditional suction or aspiration liposuction to achieve the best results. In general, up to 3 areas can be treated.
How long does each session take ?
The duration of the SmartLipo treatment itself will vary according to the individual patient. However, it’s normally a maximum of 2 hours.
Are there any side effects with SmartLipo?
Minor bruising or discomfort may occur in the short term . There is also a possibility of reddening of the skin around the area that has been treated. Antibiotics are given to prevent infection. Our consultants will make an overall assessment of your health and suitability to have Smart Liposuction at during your initial consultation.
Does SmartLipo hurt?
In many cases a local anaesthetic is used. If more extensive treatment is carried out or SmartLipo is combined with traditional suction or aspiration liposuction, then a general anaesthetic will be given. Immediately after the treatment, there may be a minimal amount of pain or a sensation of soreness, tugging or stinging in the treated areas. This can last a few days. You may choose to rest immediately after the procedure, but most people are up touring around the beautiful city of Budapest from the very next day onwards.
Are the results of SmartLipo permanent?
The results of Smart Liposuction can be permanent as long as a sensible diet and lifestyle is maintained after treatment.
Is SmartLipo safe?

How long do I have to stay in Hungary?
To have Smart Liposuction in Hungary, the recommended travel or stay time is 5-6 days. This depends on how much SmartLipo is to be performed.
Will I have to stay in a hospital overnight ?
Normally in Hungary, the use of a general anaesthetic requires you to stay in the hospital for 1 night's rest and observation. With smaller, less extensive treatments using a local anaesthetic, you will rest in the hospital/clinic for a few hours immediately after the procedure and then be returned back to your residence for the remainder of your trip.
